Hi, I’m Roger

I've been making pictures for over 50 years — and I'm still finding new reasons to pick up a camera.

I'm based in Hunton Bridge, Hertfordshire, where I live on my narrowboat on the Grand Union Canal. It's been home for 16 years, and it's where I've built a photography practice that's taken me from corporate headshots in London to the frozen lakes of Iceland.

My work covers portraits and personal brand photography, commercial and product shoots, social media content for coaches and creators, and outdoor and adventure photography. What connects all of it is a genuine interest in the people and places I'm photographing — I've never been able to fake enthusiasm, and I've never needed to.

My images have appeared in The Guardian, The Times, the Sunday Express, BBC Wildlife and Outdoor Swimmer. I've also competed in some of the most extreme open water swimming challenges in the world — including becoming the first person to complete an ice mile in Iceland. An ice mile is a one-mile swim in water below 5°C. In Iceland, in winter, with no wetsuit. It nearly broke me, and I'd do it again.

I work across Hertfordshire, London and the wider South East and I'm always up for a good adventure wherever it takes me.

If you'd like to work together, I'd love to hear what you're planning.
